David Gruenstein received a B.A. from Columbia College and a J.D. from Harvard Law School. He practiced law for 35 years at Wachtell Lipton Rosen & Katz, where he was a litigation partner. He then retired from the active practice of law to start a second career as an investment adviser. He founded Gruenstein Investments, LLC, and its associated fund, Gruenstein Partners LP, receiving his CFA designation in 2021.
