Prof. Jerrold Davis recently retired from his position as full professor in the Dept. of Plant Biology at Cornell University, where his research focused on the evolution and population diversity of members of the grass family. His work employed a diversity of research methodologies (molecular, genomic and morphological) and cut across disciplinary areas. Jerry is also a past president of Temple Beth-El in Ithaca, NY and taught an undergraduate course on plant evolution and diversity.
