CRISPR Gene editing is here! Patients are now being treated with it, and soon it may even be used to modify human embryos. Rabbi Weiner will discuss ways in which gene editing is currently feasible or will become feasible in the near future, as well as the ethical and halachic implications that we should be preparing for: Is gene editing “playing God”? And if so, is that a bad thing? What limits or red lines might there be to gene editing?
