Scientific Insights on Reducing Hatred

While we may want to think that “no one is taught to hate,” we all have the potential within us for both exacerbating and reducing hatred. Professor Larisa Heiphetz of the Columbia University Department of Psychology will share her findings about how and why adults and children develop biases, the links between bias and hatred, and what we can do to reduce both. The conversation will be moderated by Rabbi Geoff Mitelman, Founding Director of Sinai and Synapses and TIC member.
