The ability to  manipulate human genes directly is now well established. This raises both exciting applications and deep ethical issues.

Dr. Richard Sherwood of the Dana Farber Cancer Institute/Harvard Medical School will present the “eyebrow-raising” science, and Rabbi Daniel Nevins, Rabbinical School Dean at Jewish Theological Seminary, will address the ethical issues.  Come and get engaged in a fascinating discussion of the medical possibilities and the criteria to consider in choosing among them.
