Meet Azi Grysman, Ph.D
Dr. Grysman is a cognitive psychologist and professor at Dickinson College. He conducts research on autobiographical memory, considering the cognitive, developmental, and conversational influences on the events we experience in our lives and integrate into a sense of who we are.
Dr. Grysman is interested in how memory is driven by a desire to make meaning out of experiences, and in using personal stories to explore that meaning creation over time. His academic research focuses on themes of selfhood, gender, and methods in memory research, aiming to bridge between the rigors of experimental methods and the real, lived stories we experience and tell.
