As part of Scientists in Synagogues, Wendell Wallach, of Yale’s Interdisciplinary Center for Bioethics will be speaking at Temple Israel Center of White Plains on Shabbat morning June 3. Among his specialties is his current work in Artificial Intelligence (AI).
During services that day, and in further discussion following kiddush, he will talk about some of the noteworthy achievements in the field. He will also address such issues as the possible ethical and spiritual challenges raised by artificial intelligence (for example, are there implications for belief in free will?), and how practitioners are approaching them.
